변화된 환경 안에서 저장된 시간을 탐구하는 작가, 주안 JOOAHN. 주안 JOOAHN은 물 나무, 침식과 비워진 구조를 통해 이야기한다. 물이 지나간 자리, 비워진 공간, 침식된 구조 속에서 환경이 기억하고 있는 시간을 바라보며 작업을 이어왔다. 최근에는 폭포의 침식, 물에 잠긴 나무, 복개된 하천, 딱따구리가 남긴 빈 공간 등을 바라보며 시간이 환경 안에 어떻게 저장되는지 탐구하고 있다. 그의 작업 속 풍경은 자연 그대로의 모습이라기보다 인간과 자연의 시간이 오랜 시간 겹쳐지며 형성된 하나의 환경의 몸(Environmental Body)에 가깝다. 보이는 풍경보다 그 안에 남겨진 시간과 구조를 감각하게 하는 작업을 이어가고 있다. JOOAHN is an artist who explores stored time within transformed environments. Through water, trees, erosion, and emptied structures, JOOAHN examines the conditions of environments altered by human intervention. Her work has focused on traces left by water, vacant spaces, and eroded structures, observing the time that remains embedded within the environment. Recently, she has been investigating how time is stored within landscapes through observations of waterfall erosion, submerged trees, covered waterways, and the cavities left behind by woodpeckers.
